Path to Purpose

We get to know your organization inside and out to help excavate what makes you authentic, distinctive and relevant to your stakeholders.

  • The journey to purpose starts by looking inside. We uncover the authentic shared ethos that captures who you are and articulate that as a set of guiding principles (versus a list of value words) that clarify how you do business and what fuels your success.

    Well-crafted guiding principles codify your culture, set expectations for all stakeholders, and enable leadership to talk about where the organization is going as an authentic evolution of who the organization is.

  • Purpose lives at the intersection of who you are internally and the role you play externally. After we look inward to define the principles at the heart of the organization, we explore how you impact the world.

    We start by understanding your position in the marketplace. Then we tap into our network of thought leaders across a variety of disciplines (from anthropologists and psychologists to economists and historians) to go beyond that and explore the fundamental human or societal needs that you serve. So that we can help reframe how you think about the role that you play in the lives of your stakeholders.

    Then we craft a purpose articulation and help you see what it can mean for what you do next.

Align Under Purpose

To ensure that Purpose has real impact, we design and facilitate a series of workshops to help you create a LENS that brings it to life throughout the organization. Based on our experience, purpose has maximal value when organizations take the time to intentionally embed it in four key ways.
